Blondie on the Atlantic Coast

Blondie on the Atlantic Coast

June 2012

I just got back from a month long vacation to recharge my water batteries. Where did I go? I visited my favorite coast from Florida to Maine! The fam and I started in Florida hitting the water and theme parks in Orlando, then to Maryland and the Mid-Atlantic to see my family. Another day's drive to Cape Cod for some gorgeous ocean and cape time and finally a week in Maine with friends on the coast! Amazing month!

Jealous? Don't be because I'm back in dirtville and miserable because I have fresh memories of what I'm missing back east. At least I have my pool for therapy!

I've taken a lot of pictures and videos for future blogs so stay tuned! In the meantime here is the evidence of my travels. Now back to that novel I'm writing on hurricanes and time travel. (Prologue to Stealing Time.)
Discovery Cove -- read more here. Orlando, Florida. They had to drag me kicking and screaming when it was time to leave!

Me swimming with giant sting rays at Discovery Cove in Orlando, I have more underwater videos on my facebook at https://www.facebook.com/pages/KJ-Waters/206720056103502.

Bull Run, Civil War site in Manassas, Virginia. Does it look like it's almost 100 degrees? It was.

Inner Harbor, Baltimore, Maryland. Yes, I'm a Balti-moron. It's better than a Mass-hole though!

Inner Harbor, Baltimore (Or as they say, Ball tee more, hun.)

Crow's Pasture Beach, Cape Cod

Dennis, Cape Cod. Found some amazing welk shells on this beach!

Stonington, Maine. Could it get any prettier?

Otter Cove, Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, Maine. The water looks warm, but it was about 58 degrees. Brrrrr! You bet I got my feet in!

  2. Thanks Terry! Yes, I definitely want to see your pictures. But I highly doubt it's prettier. Maybe just as nice. I'll put some more of Cape Cod on my facebook for you. I've got a few videos, too. Thanks for the comment!

  3. I'm so jealous! It all looks amazing! I'm a Brit living in Portugal and I've only visited the States once (Las Vegas & New York) but I'm desperate to return to see more of it. Maine particularly appeals! Great blog :)

  4. Thanks so much Suzy for stopping by! Maine was absolutely gorgeous. Around every corner was a perfect view of the ocean, dotted with lobster pots and fishing boats. Incredible! Hope you get a chance to return to the states.

Bet you have some gorgeousness in Portugal though. I would love to visit there. I really enjoyed England steeped in history. A bit chilly, but an amazing place. I'm going to make a Maine board on Pinterest if you're interested. Visit at http://pinterest.com/kamajowa/. Great to meet you and thanks for following my blog!

  5. Portugal is not nearly as pretty as England... in fact I'm missing the UK so much these days that my husband and I are talking about returning, maybe England, maybe Scotland. Being a writer, I find Britain much more inspiring with its lush greenery, history, castles, cathedrals, pretty villages and the like. We also love the cold weather too!!
I'm already following all your boards on Pinterest... I shall look forward to seeing more pics!

  6. I spent two winter seasons working in the Everglades back in the day and that really helped me become an ocean-lover, though I will probably always be more of a mountain-girl. I regret not going to Disney World and some other top sites when I was working so close to them, but I did make it all the way down to Key West! I would love to make it to Cape Cod if time allows before I move back west. Your pictures are quite lovely!

  7. Hey I know this is off topic but I was wondering if you knew of any widgets I could add
to my blog that automatically tweet my newest twitter
updates. I've been looking for a plug-in like this for quite some time and was hoping maybe you would have some experience with something like this. Please let me know if you run into anything. I truly enjoy reading your blog and I look forward to your new updates.

    1. Hi there Hassain. There is a widget that can add your live twitter feed, I'm not using it here, but I think your blog should support it. Very glad you enjoy my blog. I'd like to see yours. I'm sorry your other messages were deleted. The blogspot program identified them as spam. I would love your comments on here, but if you're advertising your product they'll continue to be deleted by blogspot. If you'd like to connect on twitter find me at @kamajowa.

  9. I do not even know how I finished up right here, however
I believed this publish used to be great. I do not realize who you might be but certainly you're going to a well-known blogger when you aren't already.
    Cheers!

  10. Hmm it appears like your website ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess I'll just sum it up what I wrote and say, I'm thoroughly enjoying your blog.
I too am an aspiring blog writer but I'm still new to everything. Do you have any tips for first-time blog writers? I'd definitely appreciate it.
